Unless one has some sort of faith one cannot logically believe in any event that happened out of one's life time. For example I was not present during the world wars all I know is what is written in books by people who claimed that it happened.

i feel like there is more evidence in the world to prove that a god doesnt exist, then actually does. If there really was one, how come he doesnt make himself present to us. whos to say that this god u speak of wasnt created to control. Religion does it all the time, it seeks to control, but its losing it steam. Abortion, homosexuality, divorce.... all exist cuz we chose to question faith and think for ourselves.

can you mention this evidence?

i dont think because he doesnt make himself known is sufficient a reason to believe he doesnt, there can be many reasons, maybe youre not looking hard enough. or on the contrary, why should he make himself known?

Perhaps we are to dull & / or insensitive to His Nature or being?

Kind of off topic but the King of England's Church wants to divorce [with other justifications] and you have Protestants.

I agree with that statement. Sometimes we will believe something because we are told they are true yet have seen no proof of it, why - maybe because nobody else questions it.

But - if other people do question it, then so do we. We are followers of eachother - really we are.

Politicians use this. We are given a fact that might cause a politician to look bad, but to dispell this, that politician will question it, and so will we.

The same way, when you have a discussion with someone. You share a fact with them "green leaves are green" In your mind this is a fact until someone else says - "define green"

Truth is what we believe it to be - we make the choice what to believe.

The fact that there is a God
or
The fact that there isn't a God

Is your choice. It cannot be proven either way.

I do believe in God, and I do believe God shows its self, and I choose to believe this while others might choose not to.

i disagree with the statement quoted in the previous post.

to have faith in something does not make it logical to believe it, nor does it make it true.

Faith doesn't make anything logical - but I don't believe that was what the statement meant to portray. It isn't perfect english meaning but neither am I.

There are a million different ways to interperet a million different things and this interpretation does not lead me to believe that god is real or that he created this universe. There is just too many scientific facts that prove otherwise.
