he's got a real good point there. how do we honestly know anything is true. we al get most of our info. from other people that have got there info. from other people. its very possible we have been lied to all our lives.

Ok, for you who want to know why we know certain things in life consider this, when considering homosexuality...

Conceptually, the aim of conducting research is to gain new knowledge. On one level, this is a self evident statement, but does raise certain epistemological questions relating to what knowledge is, how we as human beings actually know, and the different ways taht we acquire knowledge. we know in essesntially six different ways. Through:

1-Tenacity: knowledge is accepted as valid because they it has been accepted for so long or repeated so often that it seem to be true.
2-Autorithy: knowledge is accepted as valid bacause some respected authority asserts that it is true.
3-Intuition: accepting ideas and knowledge as valid becuase they "feel" intuitively true.
4-Empiricism: knowlede is gained through direct observation and experiences; that is to say, perception through the senses.
5-rationalism: the development of new ideas and knowledge using existing ideas and knowledge in association with the princioples of logic.
6-Science: knowledge gained through a process combining rationalism and empiricism. Theory development is based in rationalism and theory testing is generally an empirical process, while data analysis is agin based in rationalism.

I personally beleive homosexuality is more of a intuition thing. For what i know and feel seems and holds true.

It was intuition that lead to Simon LeVay's incredibly biased research which although proving nothing relating to a biological cause of homosexuality is still widely accepted as doing so by media sources and gay rights activists.

I belive some people are born gay, and not raised, for example, i know of someone who was raised in a pretty rough famly, and in a pretty dodgey area, turns out hes was gay. got completely outcasted by his family, there was no way he was raised gay, BUT i think there are some exceptions, for example now gay adoption is allowed im sure most of those children will become gay, as its basically all they know, just as you are use to seeing your parents kissing and stuff, they will be use to it with their dads, then there are gay people who are gay just to be diffrent, but i think the rise in the gay community has increased because it is now so widely accepted, people can say they are gay usually without being beaten up/killed, this also causes the feeling that they must act more 'gay', going back to the example that guy who was outcasted had a massive personality change once he socialised with gays, most likely so he would be accepted.

It's not evolving its devolving. Who cares what you are as long as you're human, just be you and forget about what it is or looks like to others.

You dont even need to open your mind too much, just look at homosexuals and lesbians, do they all look like they are so sexually unattractive they can't get with anyone of the opp sex?
