christians?

sigh... felt this the other day. when i needed strength my body was incapable of creating by itself, i felt it. be it God, my mind playing games with me, BS, or w/e. it was a sense of belief in myself that ive never gotten from anyone else...

I get like that at work sometimes I don't sleep enough and by 4 or 5am I am just beat and can hardly stay on my feet when I focus on myself all I feel is tired but if I focus on God then I feel refreshed and can keep working.

An alternate theory is you tapping into the united energies of the universe by focussing and believing in harmony... the surrounding matter and energy then lends its will and "stretches" to accomodate you to the level that you accurate communicate your need.

Very similar to the way God's miracles are perceived, except it takes into account the "empathy" theory and makes scientific sense. (that telepathy can and does affect the behaviour patters of matter and energy)

Then why does it happen through focussing on God rather than focussing on tried? If it was really a matter of telepathy then I should be able to think the tiredness away but when I think about the tiredness or about being awake I can only feel more tired. There is a direct connection between thinking about God and an improved way of perception.

Yes, I'm not saying you think about being tired. I'm saying that when yout hink of God, you are in essence mimicking another method of thinking about the universe... or the power behind it, or the unison of it. That overwhelming feeling of peace or strength is the confidence you would feel if you knew you weren't truly alone in your endeavors.

Jesus (The Son), The Father and the Holy Spirit are part of the God Head (the Trinity).

It is through Jesus's sacrifice on the Cross that our relationship with God the Father is restored. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us. (This is why we are called Temples of the Holy Spirit 1 Cor 3:16 & 1 Cor 6:19).

Our Transformation comes when we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us and Transform us.

I have seen the transformation in my own life. I was full of anger and hate. I spent many a Friday night after work getting drunk to full the void of emptyness in my life. The questions of who I was and why I was put on this planet haunted me.

When someone showed me this Jesus and I encountered him as I started going to Church and reading the Bible, something inside of me knew without a doubt that this was what I had been searching for. I didnt have all the answers but I knew that Jesus really had died for my sins.

Since then my life has been transformed. My friends and family have noticed a remarkeble change. The anger and hate have gone as I have learned forgiveness. Peace has come upon my life. I no longer find it neccessary to get drunk. This is the transformed life that one can have. It is not a flick of the switch transfomation but it is a process only possible by Jesus's work on the cross.

wrong. jesus was a ray to tell the truth. his belief was just that he had no doubt. his belief was not belief but nowledge.he knew he could;

Tell me,
If Jesus was purly an ordinary man and died on the cross so other might follow him. How would he know if people actually followed him after his death?

Unless you are God or have certainty that you are going to heaven then dying so others might follow you is a complete waste of time!!

Without the cross, Christians have no message or basis for their faith.

i am a devout Roman Catholic however not the church(as in that building) church was meant to be the people not the place.

There are two errors in your statement:

1. I did not say that all deities are wrong, I said no particular one is the be all and end all representation. So if you choose to believe in Jesus, so be it. But that does not limit you from accepting that Krishna or Buddha were also holy people.

2. I don't know where you come to the conclusion that it becomes diluted. I've perceived almost all Gods as one for years and if anything I've embraced it more and more as time progresses. Logically, you'd be able to feel spiritual in more situation if you don't limit yourself to one particular system of beliefs.
