Teen, I think that Dreamers playing the reverse role.

quote:
The question was in regards to Catholics worshipping idols. Idols are false gods. Catholics do not have false gods. Therefore they do NOT worship idols.
They have one God with three persons. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. (Spirit)

quote:
You have to belief in God 1st. If you believe in God, you must believe His enormous love for us. If you believe in His love, then you will acknowledge that He loved us enough to give us the Bible as a reference to both the History of His laws, and His desires and His laws.

But moreover than that, you would then read the bible, and realise HOW jealous He was. He stated it over and over.

But the ten Commandments were the most profound in how He felt.
He not only told Moses the Ten. But He struck the words into rock. (Twice mind you)

1 I am the Lord your God, you shall have no gods before me.

His jealousy is because His love for us, and He being the one Who created us, it is understandable.

But He still gives us free will.

In a way we perceive jealousy as bad, and when mixed with humanity, it is. Covetous matter of fact.
But it is good when it is for the intent to keep us as His.

Rather than have us rely on false hopes and gods, He remains constant in us, and so we should in Him. The Bible does say, He is a jealous God. 10 Commandmeents.

I think the bible is speaking to a certain understanding. Its like baby talk. Trying to communicate with a child.

You should be a minister

Well if I were alphabetizing then capitalism does come before Christian or Christianity? Christians claim that Jesus of Nazarene, is the Christ.
Which is to lay claim to be: the Truth; the Way; the Life; the Light of the World; the Savior; etc; {etc, etc . . .}
The 1st. part defines who is Christ . . . the 2nd part defines what is Christ
{Their faith, what they believe.}
If you accept that then the 3rd part must be what {Jesus} Christ taught?

Christ supposedly is 1 third of God. You have God the Father, God the Son (Christ) and God the Spirit (scripture refers to this part of God as femanine). Three parts of one God, its called the trinity, and you won't find the term trinity in the bible. This single teaching has caused more anger, fighting, church breakups and more crucified and tortured bodies then any other teaching.

Logically, it would seem to me that if one third of God did come down and become flesh on earh, wouldn't all of creation come to a stop. Now Christians would say, "some things just don't make sense to us." (True). But still, I think they're pushing it. The Christ consciouse theory makes more sense to me.

Ya, I guess I would agree with OkCity but I am still waiting to hear this 'transfiguration' thing and what is it suppose to show?

Our bodies are corruptable, meaning - we grow old and die and get sick and have to eat, sleep, etc. The body that Jesus received and that we are supposed to receive is like a super human body that doesn't grow old, get sick, require food, sleep, etc. That's the way it was explained to me.

Okcity.

The Transfigured body is the body we receive in heaven.

Jesus showed His apostles the transfigured body he would have Matthew 17. This was to show His glory and exalted form.

Jesus, being God, was the first to have the resurrection in LIFE (heaven) and the first to be transfigured.
All souls in heaven are given a glorious body and an exalted form. Thus is why Jesus showed His apostles what was to come.

To reason why we believe Jesus is God, is the people of the Mosiac era, were promised a Messiah. A Messiah was to be God in the flesh. Their King. Their Savior.

For it was written, He would make Himself lower than angels to become man.

As for the Holy Spirit being feminine, I guess I missed that.

I was looking at my bible (a gift) related to statement about the authors of The New Testaments when I noted this in a footnote: 1.1 Christ. the word "christ" (Gk. christos) signifies "anointed"; it is the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew term "messiah"

In the Koran, Christ is not considered God. Here Christ is called Messiah. So I guess there are different interpretations of Christ.

I think Christ is the closest that human form can become like God.

Many things become difficult to understand when referring to God.
I suppose we all will find out in the end.
Indeed, if you read St John's entire writings, later in the bible,
He mentions Jesus is God several times.

Yes but Jesus did not put himself equal to GOD, I try real hard not to go around playing god. I don't equate man with GOD.
