FATE IZ DOGSHIT!!!

i cant believe somebody telling me in my face that my whole life was pre-planned and im just a domino, my life has no meaning. sometimes you have to leave science and philosophy and use ur common sense, lets say that everything that happpens iz like dominos right who de fuk pushed the first domino over??? nd who pushed his domino to push the first domino?? so on... this proves there are no dominos yes certain things can be predicted but there is also randomness which makes your whole life unpredictable and worth living.

Fate IS dogshit
How can you say that ones life has no free will and that if someone believes in free will, its actually fate.
I used to think this way, but i have realized through all my experiences that free will is the major drive in ones life.
Destiny is different from fate in one way; fate is preplanned, destiny is there but through freewill and course of action one will come upon it because of the choices he made and what he did to get to that point in time.
Believing in fate shows all that you have not yet overcome that way of thinking

i think that people who refuse to belive in fate are the ones who need to rearange their way of thinking......it seems to me that people so badly need to belive that they have control.....that they determin exactly how their lives will go....that they are the the ones with power.....control........ just let it go......no one is in complete control.....destiny and fate play a big part in our lives

i dont know either way. fate is hard for me to believe in because i feel like i have a lot of life left to live, yet if i so chose i could end my life tomorrow... or possibly die in any number of accidents.

If one is so sure that fate is the major thing taking control of your life, then why do you still make the decisions you do? why not just sit around and wait for fate give you everything you need and desire? you have to do things now so that things that you want will become real. Hence freewill is real and true.

how do you know we arent "programed" to make the decisions we make in order to reach the destinations we're supposed to meet.....all the while thinking it's of our own free will?????

hello

im new here

i think i need to back Rancid a little here...fate does reign quite a bit. No matter how much you try for a certain thing, most part is out of control of your hands. i would say...about 30% is in your hands. of courz, its still possible to accomplish what u wish to., perhaps coz the superpower (or god, watever) pities u or sumthing. But the important thing is..he has to GRANT it

im not much of a god-believer, but fate reigns supreme

Fayt and 7320, we're all young ... and i we need to educate ourselves more before we can slam the bench and say stuff.

Another good one. My own view is this. Think how tiny the average human is relative to the universe. Thats the starter. Now imagine each reference has its own parameters..things that ca'nt be got at...the things even whackos think are impossible. Okay now there are several event horizons as we move towards the future...cause and effect yes...but since I would asume every moment is unique the effect must be unique..and probably there are several effects given the causes (which interact). There are options we can choose, but which are limited to us by are feeble but awesome existence.

'Three men sailing in a race and then the wind dies down. The optimist waits and hopes for the wind to start. The pessimist gives up. The realist moves the sails to try and get moving again.' Faith drives us; inteligence moves us.

FIDELITYGASTRO, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT,30%, YOU EITHER HAVE FREE WILL OR YOU DONT. AND BEING YOUNG DONT MEAN SHIT, IF WHAT THEY GOT TO SAY MAKES SENSE, IF THEY HAVE REASONS TO BELIEVE WHAT THEY DO, OR PRESENT A VALID ARGUMENT IT SHOULDNT AFFECT THEIR CREDIBILITY.

I don't believe in fate. It's either free will or just random chance.

"the things even whackos think are impossible" hhaha very nice. Do I believe in fate? Fate is like the concept of God to me, Too huge for my mind to conceive, and toooo detailed for me to argue about.
