Actually my frame of ref is

If its successful it must be right

If its a failure it must be wrong

But this can be deceptive because sometimes it looks like you are succeeding to only fail down the road. Sometimes it might look like you are failing, but not to give up to soon, success is just around the corner.

I will further qualify by asking - Are my actions destructive to myself and others or creative, building me up and others.

For anything to be called evil or bad we have to have some objective moral framework or point of reference. If we dont what are we measuring it against.
