Lets say there is a God (I believe there is), Let's just say I'm right.

Well - lets first define God (something that created everything or something that created something, that created something, etc). I believe God is the origin of all creation.

Now, just try to imagine (everything that is created). That's a lot to imagine. I'll be honest, that's more than I could imagine. Then just take one object, and focus on that one object and what went into it, what it is and does, etc. That one thing, out of everything is amazing. Going even further now. Take that one object and see how it fits into everything else. It just keeps getting more amazing.

Now lets go back to original question. What is God?

The truth is obvious - our little pea brain head does not have the capacity to answer that question. But many believe and think and try to understand. If we took everyone's ideas, beliefs, attempts to understand and mush it all together, we come a little closer to understanding, but even then, we could not reach it.

So if you have an idea of what you think God is - I'm all for it. I won't say you're right, I won't say your wrong, but I especially won't say you got the answer - but I might agree that you have part of the answer, and probably a very, very, very small part of that answer.

Where I believe we are gravely wrong is in two ways.

1) a) You say there is no God - and refuse to acknowledge the possibility. (When communism persecuted all religions - this was that mindset)

b) If you said that you don't believe in God, but thought there might be a possibility - I would stop right there, because I would believe that surely you are a smart person. If there is a God, you will discover it some day, and if not, you never will - peace be unto you.

2) a) You believe in God - what you believe God is, is all there is, and any other thing would be false. God could not possibly live in your belief or would limit itself to your thoughts. Yet what you believe is faith. It can't be proven and you dare not question, because then it wouldn't be faith - I can understand that. But you CAN respect other faiths, see them like yourself, rather than call them followers of a false God, believe your belief is the only true belief. (It is this mindset that brought upon the dark ages and the Inquisition and things like it).

b) You believe in God and know that your belief is yours alone, like your favorite, prized animal, the most perfect crystal. This is yours and not others. As no two people look alike or sound alike, nor do we think alike. While you know your faith in God is strong, while my faith is not the same as yours, my faith could very well be stronger than yours. You acknowledge that my faith is just as valid as yours is, we are good neighbors, Thank You!

^^I like 2(B)....alot.....2(A) is also relevant...because it's not that I don't respect any other faith, or the faith of others.... It's that the simplicity of life is so close, and nobody realizes it and I get anxious......My bad I guess......I just want people to look at life through different goggles this time....I've seen the other side....shit I was on the other side a few months ago... Simplicity works out so much better *sigh*....And My understanding of God is the same as yours.....I don't understand God, I just Know the creator is there.......... You're cool..

Thank you - Same To You But More of it.

It looked like we were going around a cirlce, arguing about if and what could. I think in this religious section it is best just to share your opinion and not dissagree with other opinions. Because we don't know and it is usless argueing about it.

But lets share what we think we know and lets be open minded about it. This isn't science, this is religion, a place were we think we know a thing or two and can't prove it, but believe, that's called faith.

Just arrived on this forum but had to share a thought. I truly believe that sometimes things just happen but if you must have a reason here is a good one.
I am an IS Tech and work to secure networks. In most cases when I can trace back spam to it's source it comes from Asia as well as the bank fraud, child porn and spyware, not always but most. After the Tsunami hit security logs of this garbage and intrusion attempts went down 75% on all servers that I support. I would say your god or nature is simply cleaning house.

Welcome - I don't get it, unless you are saying that my god caused the tsunami because he doesn't like spam.

I'm saying that it is just an example of the over all corruption in that part of the world. It makes me sick to think of how many people have fallen for the false bank scams and most likely are the same people who will donate to the relief fund

Some people believe in everybody. Nomatter how hard you try, you will not be able to convince them that some people are evil. The Navy taught me about evil. I don't understand it, but it does exist and some people are, I've met it, I know.

Patrish, Bugger Off and get a life. I find your particular brand of rhetoric offensive, and indicative of a small, easily controlled mind. Believe what you want, but don't pretend to project your ideas of what constitutes sin, and your Christian created Satan, on the rest of the world. It simply does not apply to us; it only applies to people of the Christian Faith. You are giving your religion a bad name. I would also strongly suggest, if you want to receive even a small amount of respect and credibility, that you research subjects before you spout your party line rubbish without thinking. You claim to not '...insult anyone person...' well, you certainly insult, and disgust, me. I know you do not represent all Christians, I do some community work with a few local Christians Churches whose members and leaders know, understand, and most importantly, respect my religious beliefs. I am openly pagan, and do not hide my background. When a true Christian says, 'God Bless you', I take it in the spirit given, as a genuine concern over my well being, and not as an attack on my faith, as is illustrated by people like you. So my apologies to those True Christians out there, this rant is not aimed at you.
