Okay how about we get this straight.
Muslim people are great people. I'm not only saying this because im muslim, im saying this because it's the honest truth that most americans are affraid to admit. wether your muslim, christian, hindu, jew whatever, your most likely to be a good person. Yes, alot of americans think that all muslims are terrorist because of 9/11. well guess what? BULLSHIT. I understand the concept here, but i find it very offensive when someone tells me im a terrorist. nonsence. There are very nice muslim people out there. Yet there are very nice americans out there as well. I can't stand all the hatred out there for muslims. It's very commin and makes no sense. I'm also offended by the fact that alot of americans think obama is here to destroy the country. He is here to make change, GOOD change. He actually cares about the poor unlike bush. All im saying is that the hatred really needs to stop. I'm sick of it and so are the rest of the muslims. Even some americans don't like the hatred. Were not the only group hated tho. Some hindu's are hated too based on their religion. Everyone has their own religion, let them speak it, let them show it. I have nothing against christian people, I have alot of friends that are christian. Most of my friends are christian actually, and i love them. Great people. The hatred needs to stop though. like NOW.

Religion will bread extremist sects period. Theocracies are just bad in general, looking at Saudi- Arabi or Iran or the Taliban aren't fair measures for everyone that happens to be a muslim. The thing that got the pope in trouble is true, the muslim religion is a warrior mentality religion, there prophet was a ruthless warlord. Christianity is reasponsible for a brutal amount of violence on there part as well, probably the worst, think spanish inquisition and the bogus crusades and lets not forget there creative torture and execution methods. Look at the texts of both books, king david, mohammed, old testiment, in the hands of someone who is an extremist, a book thats supposed to tell them how to live there lives according to a celestial being well...... can be pretty dangerous. Especially when those religions claim sole divinity.

i agree with your theme and would like to expand on it. religion does breed extremist sects periodicaly even buhdism is no exception to the rule. Infact all Ideology when it takes the place of general wisdom can have that same harmful effects. here are some examples of ideologys other than religion that cause often cause damage.
Law
communism
capitalism
national socialism
democracy
racial purity
take your pick but when ideology allows us to forget what is right and wrong in any given time than that ideology has failed society and is often of little value in the end.

In 1981 Egyptian President Anwar Sadat machine shot dead by Islamic Jihad in Cairo, 7 others killed, 28 wounded. The 80's and 90's were filled with attacks on civiilians world-wide - car bombings, train bombings, hostages taken and executed. In 1998 a statement was released signed by many Islamic Jihad Leaders but of course first by Sheikh Osamah Bin-Ladin: '...In compliance with God's order, we issue the following fatwa to all Muslims: The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies–civilians and military–is an individual duty for every Muslim who can, in any country in which it is possible... We - with Allah's help - call on every Muslim who believes in God and wishes to be rewarded, to comply with Allah's order to kill the Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever they find it. Unless you go forth, Allah will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place.'

If you are an innocent Muslim you cannot deny the truth that hatred and fear of Muslims worldwide was sown by the many extreme senseless acts of violence against civilians perpetrated in the name of Allah. "As ye sow, so shall ye reap." The Middle East is reaping what it has sown - oppression, hatred, violence, death and destruction.

After 09/11 the USA should have immediately and permanently closed it's borders to any citizen of Arabic nationality. The sad fact is that if every Muslim in the world dropped dead tomorrow, everyone left would breathe a big sigh of relief.

you act as though the muslim world was responsible for the natural and justifyible mistrust towards western civilization. before the crusades europe was learning about architecture, medicine, astronomy, the virtues of cleanlieness (bathing) basicaly civilization in a nutshell. what did we do in return? the crusades. my god man. my god. in the first crusades when the uropeans sacked a muslim city there was rape and mass murder. it is said by uropean historians that the streats were like rivers of blood.

when a famous muslim comander came back to retake the city years later he said that he was going to purify the city. so you could imagine the fear in christians inside the city. some aged committed suicide women cut their daughters hare short for fear of being raped. but when the walls were breached the man ordered that none of the christians be killed and then he sent his men out with buckets of rose water to purify the holy places.

all through out history if you measured our aggression versus their aggression towards us we will realise that we are the oppressors and terrorists.
Im not condoning violence but I would have to admit that if the roles were reversed I would probably see it as my duty to kill meddling thieving foriegners.
