Anyone heard of GIMP image software?
GIMP (a.k.a. GNU Image Manipulation Program) is being rated on the Net as your very own free and legal Photoshop substitute. A possible downside being that you need to download the GTK+ Runtime Environment for the GIMP to work, and some user reviews have complained this messed with their system and generally gave problems.

Any thoughts or experiences with GIMP?
