Gun control, for or against?
Perhaps this has been discussed in here before, if it has it was before my time.

How about it, are you for or against some type of gun control and why?

Difficult subject in respect to violence vs. self defense.

Otherwise, untill the world is at peace forever (which may never be) and we have no need for hunting ever again, then guns are just a necessity for self defense in a world of guns.

I wish there were better ways to control stupid people with guns, hopefully something will be figured out someday, but it is not guns that kill people so much as the people who use them right?

Accidents with or without guns happen and kill people, guns should not be blamed for that either.

As a civilian walking down the street I've been shot at, I had a friend of my uncle (when I was like 8 or so) who was on all kinds of meth, slowly load a 30/6 rifle in front of me before he kindly stuck it to my face, I can't say I appreciated either instance.

But, I don't blame guns, and the world is dangerous, we just have to fear loonies especially with guns.

If bowling for columbines numbers were anywhere near right, I am awfully curious as to why our gun violence is so high compared to everywhere else. I want to know the x factor that allows such a distinctive difference.

I know my fear of myself or others being shot doesn't come from the existance of guns but the knowledge of what people do with them.

Ok, you had to open that can didn't you?

I see it strictly as constitutional issue...

Forget all this self-defense against crime and that other hunting drivel. To hell with the anti-gun nuts!

It's your right! (period).

Another view of, 'the right to bare arms...' these anti-gun nuts will soon convince us that it merely means, 'the right to go sleeves.'

Wouldn't it be nice if those were the only arms people fought with though?

You do not need an automatic weapon.

The heck you don't!

How are you suppose to overthrow your Government without automatic weapons?

You need RPGs, Tanks, IAVR, etc.

See, that's exactly my point. When you overthrow the gov, you've got the law of the jungle. The guy with biggest guns win.
