Light Painting
So, these are my very first light painting pictures. Just did them tonight.

Light painting is basically just grabbing whatever light source you want, like sparklers, a torch, a glow stick - anything you want (I used a torch) - and setting the camera to a slow shutter, bump up the iso and keep the camera on a steady surface (or a tripod if you have one). Then you just move the light around to create any effect or drawing that you desire. It's a lot of fun.

Probably post some more here when I experiment with different lights.

Those look awesome I like the second and last ones best. We did the same thing in photography, but since it was film mine didn't turn out too well. I think I'll try again. Did someone help you, or did you manage to figure out a way to do it yourself?

I did have to get someone else to keep the camera steady and press the shutter.

You can definitely do this by yourself however, if you have your own tripod (which I don't, I accidentally broke mine a month or two ago D= ) and if your camera has a timer that you can set. If it doesn't have a timer, you could use a lengthy shutter release cable, and if none of those things are available to you, yeah, you will have to get someone else to press the button for you, like I did.

*All of these images have uploaded with a lot of distortion, probably because the site compresses them? Eh, I don't know. I can't be bothered changing the file sizes right now. Just know that they are actually way clearer than they appear here.
