LOL, that would be awesome! I think it could theoretically be possible, too. Because the console can also tell how close/far you are away from the TV. But I'm not sure whether it can recognize controller rotation. If it can, then yeah, possible. Otherwise, probably not.
Then again, it should be possible seeing as in the Rev teaser video, there is a boy depicted as using the controller as a sword for The Legend of Zelda. Make of it what you will, it will be awesome no matter what.

couldn't afford to buy games for ps3, and i dont have wireless internet so xbox would be pointless
