i think "to love" truly, it must go both ways. in order to love, one must be loved. everyone deserves a chance to experience this at least once in a lifetime. just one chance though. thats not to say we are capable of several chances, everyone is just deserving of at least one.

why just once??...why not always, why not the love that you have inside of you be all you can express?? why wait for love...or wait to give love, when you possess it and possessing it makes it all that is you!!....and when you're love, what you deserve doesn't matter anymore because you'll get everything you need...not want....need!!.......and that's everything

Sleepingwraith speaks the truth. Philosophically, I would dispute the concept of "deserving" it just doesn't ring with me. It's trying to pass judgement on our own existence and worth, but if we are unworthy, than who are we to judge ourselves?

Politically, we in the West just don't comprehend how obscenely wealthy we are.

What about the positive aspects of 'deserving'? If you work hard, do you not deserve those material things you have acquired? If you work at a relationship, do you not deserve the love of a family member or mate? In the latter case, if a former lover burns you, you are guilty only of poor choice in my opinion, choosing a loser or just someone incompatible.

Is deserving "earning"?

Applied effort into a work in order to reep the benefits?

When you feel you dont have what you deserve, you DO assume that you dont deserve what you have.

Which is an entirely different level than a traditionally earned benefit.

You deserve what you get. Because thats whats yours, and this is what you have for all of your troubles. Maybe if you used your f*cking brains, and found a way to get what you want or feel you deserve...than maybe you wouldnt feel as if you havent gotten what you deserved.

Rob a bank...(take the risk) you've earned the money. Ofcourse you deserve it, because along with the large sum of cash, comes an increased risk of death and incarcaration.

..which is also deserved.
want a car? Find a way to get a car...and once you have it..you deserve it. However you managed to stumble across obtaining this car, or thoroughly devising a plan...you deserve it, because it is yours.

RE: "Is deserving "earning"?"

I believe that in you'r examples deserving is earning but what about things like life itself?

"Who's" to say we deserve it or not?(existence)

and if "they" are them that make this decision, then it is they who decide to give us our existence.

..otherwise, we just deserve it because we have it.

whether we deserve existence or not, it is our gift with which to do as we see fit. I think that the gift itself should be enough to make us try to life life in a way best suited to those around us. How I will measure my life's success is by how many people's lives I've touched, and how much of a difference I've made.

To me, success doesn't always have to correspond with material wealth.

Success is something that you feel happy for or proud of without measuring it with other people's views of success. Success doesn't always have to be a bad thing.

You can't exactly determin whether your successful or not until you die.
