A Few Questions about God... [+ favourites]

Is there prayer for people who do not believe in God?
If Atheists hope or wish, who do they expect to act?
One answer... The other's who exist in the Universe...

When someone prays or communes with God, what is the system of communication?
For example, do believers expect God to be telepathic?
One answer... No, as God is everywhere, he understands you just as you do...

If God was the Universe, and the Universe expands and contracts (and other things)...
Does God expand and contract with it?
One answer, borrowed from another post... No, God is independent of the Universe in such things...

Ask yourself these questions... How would you answer them?

A prayer to the force that controls the way things are, even if it is a mathematical force. It is coming to terms with your desires for a certain outcome. Praying provides you the ability to accept a fate prescribed in an unfavourable direction, and purifies your ability to pursue changing the environment to make fate favour you.

Prayer satisfies all the internal needs to talk to God without ever needing to actually talk to anyone outside of ourselves. This is because happiness is relevant only to our perception - prayer helps purify our perception.

in my opinion, atheists cant pray or they aren't atheists. praying requires the belief in a higher power.

First one would have to prove the existance of the Abrahamic God.

Then we can proceed with your questions.

Atheists I think have a handle on the reality of life. It is to be enjoyed and lived for today..because tomorrow you may die.

And that's not hedonistic...it's also being good and helping others in order to have a fulfilling life. I see more Chrsitians pray for money and wealth and new home and a bigger church....so what does that tell the rest of the world about their god? that he puts much more value on this earth than on his heaven.

Many Christians, to be frank, come across as "death cultists", much to concerned about what happens after life is over, than on living itself.

Even their concept of "charity" is based solely on how much "credit" it will get them in their heaven.

Athiests, we non-Abrahamics, and the Abrahamics not fixated on the here after all tend to live life more fully, I've noticed, enjoying life in general and giving merely because there is a need.
