Hi I graduated from high school last year. The best way I can discribe my faith is by saying that I'm a born agian cristian. While it's not a matter of life and death, the reason im writing is for a prayer, a prayer that I will be accepted into the carpenter's school that I have applied to. My future depends upon it. I would also like to confess that I have sinned broke commandments and not gone to church in a long time. Will you please pray to god for god to forgive me and have mercy on my soul, I am sorry for going against him and offending him. I love him.

Will you also pray that I never agian question him or his word, for I now know it to be true even when the world and my foes try to tell me otherwise. Pray that I will obey him for the rest of my life and also have a good life.The last thing I need is a prayer for my girlfriend. Will you please pray that she too accepts god the way that I have choosen to and that she and I will be happy together forever.

I will not pray for the things you desire because I do not know if they are the best things for you. But I sincerely hope that everything you want happens and that you receive the happiness you seek in whatever form it presents itself with.

I will pray for you because I am not going to decide that it is not important for me to not make a mistake by praying for something that isnt nececcarily the best for you.

I hope that the best comes, but I will give you what you want.

You have admitted yourself that it is an act of desperation that has lead you to your newfound beliefs.

If necessity has lead you to your beliefs, it is unlikely you absorbed them by choice.

By that rationale, it is unlikely you are following the "truth"... but rather a version of it that levitates your desperate times.

Which makes you a beggar.

A beggar that sells his soul for money has no right to call someone who earned less themselves a fool. They may be poorer in the short term, but richer in the long term.

Because the pride in your soul is the only thing that will actually save you in desperate times. Your newfound beliefs are like cocaine.

We'll see about it as your life slowly degrades sub-consciously.

You'll increasingly feel the need to get more and more of your fix, and it will get harder and harder to fulfill yourself with it. You'll try to compensate by doing as much as you can but it will never be enough.

And you will be depressed.

I pray that you will discover a more merciful God one that does not use shame and guilt to force you into going to church each Sunday.

Concerning sin - if you have done anything to damage yourself or another person, you have sinned, being your natural self is not a sin, many get this confused. If you have hurt someone, Jesus teaches that before you come to the alter first work things out with your adversary. If you hurt yourself, then you need to work that out with yourself.

Don't turn ant hills into mountains that you can never clime, life does not have to be that difficult.

I will pray that you become accepted into that carpentry class.

I know my post used advanced metaphor to describe the process by which one whores themselves to the Church, but it should have been obvious that it had nothing to do with money.

Regardless, eternal happiness is good. You don't have it because your happiness is based externally, not internally. And now I wish you pain and suffering so that you attempt a more healthy approach.

You should point out where I made any reference to hating God. When you fail to do so you should (theoretically) search within you as to why you would have assumed that incorrectly.
