theres a new comfort in the rain
soaked to the bone
it is warm
not to drizzle and not to pour
but it is warm

slightly running down my cheeks
over my brow and round my chin
dripping off my hands to fingers end

not so wet this time
for the drops arent tears
for the drops arent dry
but the rain
it is warm

like a swamp thick with mist
it swelled inside me
he told me not to worry
but the loss of her
my woes echoed from within
I fell upon myself and carried me home
whilst I lay on my shoulder
crying dry tears

Just live

we don’t have to go about
day by day
hustling here and there
ending up at the same place
just live

screaming your heart out in angst
for what you don’t want to hear
placing your life on its style
without thought on your mouth
just live

laying back as the sun grazes my face
prisms of eyelashes perform life’s best play
encore encore
and I cover my head with my arm
smiling at thoughts from across the room
as dusk settles in before the night
just live

Deep


The depth of our souls and lives
Gazes pierce the shadows of the deep world we walk
And the farther you go the more you are revered
To plunge into the black abyss and search for what u want to see
Its all a game
I stood once looking at the bottom and found myself
With a cupped hand and gulped the water down like a panting wolf

it keeps raining
it just keeps raining
maybe one day...
this world will wash away
and all that I felt for in any case
will be gone forever in histories end
it couldn't last
we knew it
such cogs of fate eh?
we willed it to continue
with these dark evenings
and summer time skies
just as continuing willed us go on

its still coming down....

i fell asleep into a dream
a dream of people and places so far from me that it seemed so real
so unperfect that it unsettled the mind to believe
that this is true that this is right and so long as i am
ill do alright

i layed asleep in your room atop your bed
and enjoyed the smells and lighting ahead
it reminded me, reminded of safer times
of times carefree, songs, games, and of nursery rhymes

i wake in dream and wreck the scene
you took from me my favorite thing
for you i held such reverence
but you took from me such confidence

im not angry
just loosing faith
