How can you be certain that this is such a time?

if one is close minded they can't be certain that there is such a time.

although there is a compulsion for us to search for the truth and take a mainstream side, it is possible to avoid this. only some people can see this and therefore nothing is ever certain, just probable

But you claim to be openminded so tell me how you know that this is a time to be open to knowledge.

How do I know there is a time to be open to knowledge?

Thats simple- if one is open-minded there is always time to be open to knowledge. How? simply ones instinct, or the compulsion to make a decision to be open to other knowledge.

How can you determine that one's belief system is more correct over other beliefs. For example, what makes a christian more right than a Muslim, or a Buddhist more correct than a Hindu. How can you be sure that your 'God' exists but other 'Gods' don't? What makes one religion more genuine, realiable, legitimate, accurate, sincere, trustworthy, than others? the truth is you can't be sure.

The truth is that I am certain of the fact that Christianity is more right than anything else. You won't understand it because you've never been there. And because of your uncertainty you will no doubt mock my resolve but so be it, God has told us that many people will reject Him so if you are not willing to see things God's way then that is between you and Him.

btw I have been there...I was once a Christian. So I possibly could understand. If one is close minded and is incapable to compare different mainstream religions then you can't be certain that Christianity is more valid than others. Only understanding or accepting a 'God' doesn't make you certain whatsoever

Anyone who honestly thinks that this is true of them has never been a Christian. You may have been brought up with the knowledge, gone to Sunday school and all the rest but as I have mentioned in another post; one who is a real Christian will never be anything else.

Well thank 'God' that I was never a 'real' Christian, if thats what you want to perceive.

You can thank Him personally when you stand before Him and He does not see your name written in the Book of Life.

Jesus is the best friend anyone could want and so it would not be logical to just abandon Him one day that is why real Christians will never convert to anything else.

hmmm...why be so naive about the billions of other people who don't believe in your belief system.

As I said before- If one is close minded and is incapable to compare different mainstream religions then you can't be certain that Christianity is more valid than others. Only understanding or accepting a 'God' doesn't make you certain whatsoever.

Please put some more thought into this

Is it naive to think that in any given school classroom there may be several people with the wrong answer? If the majority is wrong should we amend the textbook? I have research from an academic viewpoint some of the other major religions and I see that the only difference between all religions and mine is that with Christianity you are not required to work for salvation.

When I was younger I once wanted to see who was more powerful God or Satan and so I prayed to both asking them to perform some sign of their existence. I got no response from Satan.

well thats good to hear. The ideology of 'Satan' is socially constructed. at least you got a 'response' from 'God' who is supposed to be good rather than evil.
Now please keep to the topic of this thread.
Are you inept to give further thought into the idea of what i said before- How can you be sure that your 'God' exists but other 'Gods' don't? What makes one religion more genuine, realiable, legitimate, accurate, sincere, trustworthy, than others?

the ultimate truth is you can't be sure
