What makes you succesful in life? Are you successful in life right now? why do you think that?

Does making a shitload of money make you feel succesful? Or does having a family and providing for them make you feel succesful?


How does one rate themseves as being succesful, or is that something that only someone can rate?

As long as you are in the process of achieving your goals and have achieved goals in the past that lead to current and future goals, you are successful according to me.

To some people, money is one of those goals. To others, family is more important. To some, both are important, so they have a more difficult task.

I'll know if I were successful when the minute before I die I can look back on my life and smile instead of frown.

I don't know if having a family or money or a car or a great job will make me feel successful. I just have to wait and see how they make me feel.

One thing that makes me feel succesful is when after long hard hours of building an Engine, it fires up and runs. The growl of the exhaust makes me feel acomplished.

I have a different view of success since I left my Management job at a big corporation. I was working long hours with only one day off, and when I woke up in the morning I hated getting ready. This was my tell tale sign that I had to make a change.

Now being succesful means learning as much as I can, and enjoying my life, my family and my Hot Rodding.

Success- what everyone wants and you don't want to compare sucess or your sucess might seem small compared to someones elses so I'll avoid

Try this Blakian idea for success: no matter what you are--whether you are a bum who leaches off his or her parents, an intellectual at Oxford University, or President of the U.S., you can only achieve success when you become the BEST at being what you are. So, Blake would say, Yes! You can be a bum (and society should not shun you) as long as you become the best bum you can be!
But then again, Blake's hero was Satan, so you might not want to take stock in his ideas . . .

i think success is based on happiness. there's a fine line between success and accomplishment. some need to feel accomplished in order to feel successful. i dont think feeling successful relies on feeling accomplished however. Like being a bum for example, in being a bum you probably wont accomplish much in your life, but you can still be successful at being a bum which in turn may make you happy. when its all said and done, if your smiling your a success, if your frowning you've let yourself down in some way and are not successful. More accomplished people may feel a greater amount of success however... but thats another thread altogether

Successful yes, accomplished... maybe, had their goal been to obtain that wild turkey... bums are generally light hearted, they have issues as we all do. as long as any person can obtain food, water and shelter in order to live, there is no reason why they shouldnt be happy. bums usually have one of two big problems tho 1. bad luck 2. low standards... but as long as they can obtain supplies to survive, they are probably just as happy as a CEO of a large company... its just that the CEO and bum have entirely different sets of problems to deal with!
