Azure, now that you mention it, of all the musicians I have known; those as good to far far better than I; there seems to be two things always in common: 1) they say they like, and listen to all music, and 2) when playing what they want, all gravitate toward blues at some point.
I thought it was just the crowd I ran with, but there might be something to it. The pensive sound of a minor chord, perhaps?
