What Happened with the anonymous category?

I agree - it was an awesome thread and perhaps someday it will be back.

The main reason it had to go was that people were using that forum for posting about topics that could easily be discussed (without anonymity) in other topical forums - preventing the growth of topical forums.

ok i understand. but it was on the captain cynic therefore captain cynic was growing and no matter in which category it is it is growth!!!! bring it back because certain stuff needs to be there, and for the bit of stuff which doesn't fit i can only say who cares it is still there!!!!

I appreciate your enthusiasm for that category and I understand that your desire for it is what is fuelling your drive to bring back that forum - but please understand that for now, it will not be back, it simply was not successful and as I already stated, it was stunting the growth of the site.
