The Mind - Reading Material on Computers
As a university student, I am have begun to read a lot of material on the computer. So when looking at the bright white background and black text... I asked myself...

What would be the ideal background colour? And, also what would be the best background/text colour combination be?

Does anyone have any concrete information on the subject?

(I assumed the black was okay, but a more ambient colour more suitable for the background, like a light brown or tea-colour.)

I do not know. I do know that I really enjoy black backgrounds with white/red/ and especially bright green text. You should try those combinations. Speaking of background and text colors can I change the background and text color on this forum? Would appreciate this greatly. Good luck in you endeavour. XD

The last report I read was a 1973 study that found black on light yellow was the easiest for people to read without fatigue or the mistaken transposition of words, numbers or individual letters. I do not remember who commissioned the study.
