The gilded mirrors revolve around their individual perception of man made idols

I became afflicted with the disease of societal association

Looking in is as futile as looking out

for when you look at the gilded mirror it is only your mirror that you see

Learning the ins and outs of the chimpanzee symphony-Life as an evolved monkey sucks. But we make it sound great and complex!

The gilded mirrors revolve around their individual perception of man made idols- Mirrors refer to the fact that people are a result of the other people in their lives...parents neighbors schools.....siblings and friends. We are simply reflections of the people we know and the things we have seen and learned...how do we learn? By watching other monkeys and doing as they do. Manmade Idols are talking about all the things they we create such as furniture houses cars money....computers, Things of that nature that is being worshiped in our society. Individual perception being, what it is we care about as an individual such as Jenny likes cars so she dates guys with nice cars where as Henry likes cars so he can look cool and pick up jenny.

I became afflicted with the disease of societal association- Simply being born you are forced into being a reflection of everything around you.

Looking in is as futile as looking out- looking into a mirror you only see yourself however looking at yourself the mirror you only see the reflection of everything else.

for when you look at the gilded mirror it is only your mirror that you see- obvious considering the last explanation

imo it sorta takes the fun out when you explain things such as songs and poems urself but....This one in particular is probably not something on the minds of many so they probably wouldn't even consider those things a possibility.

i liked that you explained it, but i also feel that poetry is best left up interpretation
