Market Meltdown 2008
The Fed cut key interest rate by .75% points today. Yesterday I caught wind of things possibly going to shit today. For any doubters out there left thinking we aren't in a recession, this is a glaringly obvious indicator that we are in fact, in deep shit.

"This move is not an instant fix," wrote Ian Shepherdson, chief U.S. economist for High Frequency Economics. "The economy is still staring recession in the face, but at least the Fed now gets it."

I am so utterly disgusted with my own country right now, which also saddens me. The Fed is BS and it seems even their own BS can't pull us out of this mess anymore.

Meanwhile, the sheeple are all concerning themselves with whether or not black women know anything about politics. The elections are like some grand diversion from real problems. That's so sad for so many reasons.

Am I the only one who finds a tax rebate a laughable way of supposedly fixing the economy? Seems to me that's just encouraging volatility in markets...

I'm sure it'll all go into gas or savings.

I totally agree that distributing money we don't have so we can buy things made overseas is not a solution to the problem. It is like putting a band-aid on a severed arm.

All the politicians care about is for the economy to look good now so that they can get re-elected. They are going to destroy our country and push us into a major depression (one worse than we've ever seen) unless we take some radical steps to reduce spending.

President Bush was talking last night about balancing the budget by 2012. It isn't enough to balance the budget...we need to work towards majorly reducing the deficit.
