The Serenity of a New World
Beyond the seas of purple,
And past a field of red,
Around a mountain of cerulean,
Is where I'll rest my head.
A valley of green awaits me,
Far from where I'm from,
Where millions have laid before me,
And millions more will come.
Yet alone I'll make my journey,
And alone I'll lay to rest,
For we all must make the voyage alone,
For the outcome to be its best.
For some, the journey is lengthy,
For others, it is made brief,
But regardless of the length,
It's judged on pure belief.
A road of tests awaits me,
Some are simple, some are not
But if I can persevere,
I'll reach the place I've sought.
A place to envy Simon's paradise,
He found on the jungle isle,
A thing of beauty after pain,
A peace no one can defile.
No words of hate are spoken,
For hate at all is banned,
And love is so abundant,
It overflows this land.
A land that is so serene,
It grows roses without thorns,
And every passing wind,
Carries the sound of angelic horns.
The sweet song will carry for miles,
Resounding through the valley of jade,
And the merry tune will swell,
When a brother enters the gates.
So I wait for my turn to transition,
From one world to another,
When I finally get to meet,
All of my sisters and brothers.
In a place prepared by our Father,
To rest our heads as one,
And rejoice in the love we'll discover,
When our time on Earth is done.
