| The Tower [+ favourites]
Why is it that since man began to build, the bricks and mortar have become a status symbol? As if continuing to grow, they are so willed and beneath its spire all are humble. It is a symbol of great power to be a higher being above all others. To climb the heights of his great tower is to reach heaven before his brothers. Some men get lost when on this great journey, locked in that ivory tower of seclusion. They continue in their search, all the while learning their 'towering intellect' is just an illusion. As man observes the view from his skyscraper his perspective is altered with his height. These man-made mountains cast such shadows they hamper the truth of what exists below, for it is out of sight. And this is why all men of power in church or castle from spire or turret do survey the happenings below them that are distorted, all are carried with the screen of clouds away. Why is it that in dreams we continue climbing the never-ending spiral stair? Never really truly finding what it is we are looking for up there. The higher up we carry on our tiring climb the brighter shines that cleansing light. And running out of precious time it is too late to descend back to unwanted night. And when awaking exhausted from the climbing dream, the taste of 'more' lingers in the air, We have touched the gate to Heaven, it may seem, and all that's left is an ache of wanting to resume our journey there. Sometimes in our climbing dream we may lose our balance and start to fall, only finding when we continue dreaming we have begun again the climb up that steep wall. Where does the climbing search for power end? And is it to be reached through building towers? Or is it only in the dreams of men and the search for heaven between lovers? Sorceress.
