This is a great example of a situation where people can be awakened to realities that shatter myths, romantic notions, and flat out lies and deceptions so huge and pervasive they not only encompasses large masses of world populations, but generations of them as well.
It can be seen as an example of why we need to keep companies, monopolies, oligopolies, etc. in check. Because there are many "legal" roads one can take to carry out crimes when enough money and power is centralized.
