| Patriarchy: here forever  [+ favourites]
An ancient Chinese storyteller wrote a group of stories similar to Gulliver's Travels wherein the narrator travels to strange lands with strange people. He visited one land where women ruled and men were second-class citizens. Men had to wear makeup and tight shoes and answer to the demands of the women.
However, the women in that story used similar techniques of patriarchs to dominate men, so they were not psychologically different from the male leaders at that time. Patriarchy lives off masculinity. Femininity will never be the desired characteristic in leaders and rulers because its essense is in wanting to please others through weakness.
