What constitutes as alive?

If a cell didn't breathe then you wouldn't have life!...what the scientists say is an oxygen particle is AIR...whichever way you look at it, it's AIR.. Consumption of Air is what we know as breathing.... if you say it's simply consumption and waste then everything that consumes and wastes breathes.....It doesn't matter which way you put it, or put a twist on it you come back to the same reality.....

You can go as far as saying a molecule is alive but it doesn't breathe... You're confusing the words existence with Living/breathing...As long as a substance has Air, the make up of life in it then it lives....Show me one thing on this Green earth that doesn't need Air to exist other than Air....Every creation has a particle of Air in it, whether you break it down into different classes and names and such......you cannot form anything in this earth outside of Air, because you live in Air...and I'll stop Saying Air and just Say The Essence of Life...The Breath of Jah...

Breathing is difiened as the active intake of gases for the purpose of respiration, and the passive release of waste gases.


Alive in the case of humans falls under your ability to comprehend your surroundings and be self awareness.
Plus all the other simple factors, that i cant remember from biology at the moment. The whole thing of brain dead falls under the whole keeping people on life support thing, is it wrong to keep people in the world just because they where someone to us once, or should we let them go? You decide?

^^^What is in the water that makes fish breathe?...isn't it air, oxygen particles that make up the water...Air......if fish didn't inhale water, which is half Air, then wouldn't they die!! Awareness is a production of living....you could be unconscious and still be alive.....breathing is living...AIR, HAILLE SELASSIE!!!!!!
