Lately Ive been listening to Keane and Motion City Soundtrack and good ol' Greenday.
The new All-American Rejects alnum isnt half bad, and Red Hot Chili Peppers have always been a favorite.
Heres something you can do to find music you like.
Type in a band at yahoo music and click the button that says it will take you to bands like that. Go from there.

um, fugazi is always good no matter what you listen to.
if you listen to punk than i would suggest a//political or anti-product if you can find them.
atmosphere is pretty good as far as rap/hip hop goes.
blues traveler is often overlooked, even though they are pretty good.
and if you don't have the clash's london calling album you need to get it right now, even if you have a pre-existing opinion about them you should pick up that album because it has some terrific songs that are rarely played and therefore little known.

Have you ever heard of a band called Neurosis? They play a very slow, atmospheric, repetitive, heavy blend of about eight genres that I don't even want to try and list here. Think Pink Floyd/hardcore punk/Nine Inch Nails/Tool, played really slowly.
Just download Through Silver In Blood and you'll understand.
