The Army accused 1st Lt. Ehren Watada of missing his brigade's troop movement to Iraq, twice speaking contemptuously of the president and three acts unbecoming an officer. The alleged actions are violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Now ask yourself the next time you watch an interview on CNN or Fox News of an active duty soldier - when they tell the reporter that they support the president, is it coming from the heart or are they protecting their careers and ask why CNN or Fox News doesn't interview more veterans concerning Bush policies, who can, as civilians, speak the truth without fear of retribution.

Those of us who have served, we know that while a service member is required to give his or her life protecting the constitution, they are not protected by it, but rather fall under a different set of rules called the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
