I have two things to tell you: 1. You are not a doctor, and ADD is often misdiagnosed even BY doctors. There could be other underlying problems, i.e. numerous other learning disabilities that are often overlooked allowing some kids to slip through the cracks of the system. 2. Let's say you do have ADD, ADHD, or a related problem. I do not suggest keeping it quiet or trying to treat it yourself. This will only place you in a deeper hole that will eventually be impossible to get out of. I would say you should talk to your parents about having a cognitive thinking test or seeing a doctor about other testing, then make some decisions accordingly.
