Who protects who really? the goverment is supposed to use all its legal terms which by the way you can never understand, to protect us. Who are they protecting us from? Us or them?

Relatively speaking, the only thing that you need protection from is the idea that the government uses legal terms to confuse the general public. It is your responsibility to learn enough about the way our government functions to understand simple legal terms. Ignorance is the only thing we need protecting from.
