Well, this is actually good for Bill. This will prevent the pressurized need of Apple to create and entice software manufacturers to make software compatible for both macOS and Windows. As Bill concluded years and years ago, the money is in the software, not the hardware. Microsoft could care less what hardware is running their OS as long as it is their OS. Also, Microsoft owns shares in Apple. This is a bad thing in every way except it provides Windows users the freedom to purchase an apple. There really is no reason to do so except consmetics. A feat that would defeat Microsoft would be a means of integrating windows programs on MacOS. That would remove the need for Microsoft software. But none of this will matter within a few years. Within approximately five years I believe bandwidth will become so readily available that desktops will no longer be necessary. All you will need is a console (sensory devices such as a monitor, mouse, keyboard etc) and an internet connection. Then you will log on and all your data and work will be stored on a remote server and be accessible immediately. Consumer hard drives will become obsolete. Google will be in competition with Microsoft in this regard as both are already trying to build the backbone for such a system.
