I didn't say women chose in the past. It is likely that men did, however. My point was that nowadays neither sex has a choice in the matter. Women being outspoken less socially repressed than a man being overly emotional... this means that men are more repressed than women are. Women are free to fuck men, fuck women, wear jeans, wear skirts, be outspoken, be docile... it's all socially acceptable. A man crying, a man running away, a man wearing anything slightly feminine, a man not being a good provider, a man being a homosexual... these are all repressions that are so socially jarring to men that it creates serial killers. Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy who are probably some of the most notorious serial killers in American History were both socially repressed homosexuals. Although that isn't a statistical proof, it is indicative of the level of social repression that occurs and the pressures that men have to be men. This far exceeds feminine pressures to be feminine nowadays, although I do realize that women are forced to look modelesque and what not. This pressure is a lot more cosmetic than the pressure on men. The pressure on men isn't even recognizable... it just manifests itself with violence.
