Sony has been curopted folks. I bet Jack Thompson got to them. This game has been out for a few months now, the name of this evil spawn of evil is THE BIBLE GAME. Seriouslly has sony decided to kill us, why would they give in and create a religous game. Oh wait its most likelly becouse that ass hole Jack Thompson or Thorton cant rember name all the time. That jerk has been working a self proclamed "crusade" against video games, espilly violent ones. Guess something got to Sony most likelly as I said that evil man but they could just be trying a new game approach to apell to a religous market. Like hell it will work, man when i first saw that my faith in Sony pretty much died. The only thing that saved it was the new Castlevania game. Seriouslly i guess all those religous people in America was getting pissed at sony for making video games so in order to save themselves they had to make it. This is pretty much a ad for Christianity. Sure we dont have to buy the game but still its the principle of the thing. Hmm wonder what would happen if 2 the ranting gryphon found out about this.

Adults play video games, and therefore any content should be allowed in them, just properly labled and rated. Its that simple.

Whether a kid plays any video game, reads any book, or watches any movie, even porn, is completely up to the parent. No one else, not even the government. This is protected by the US Constitution.

This crusade attempts to control every new medium that becomes available, video games are already old news, the internet is the current debate. Jack or whats his nuts, is a blabbering idiot.

Jack the Crackpot aside, a bible based game is a great idea. there have been several over the years, mostly PC. maybe you dont personally believe in the bible, in which case the game would obviously not be for you. almost all games these days have many religious undertones. they might as well be blatent about their intentions with a game i think.

if made well, a game based around christianity and the bible could be very good at teaching kids morals. just forget about the brainwashing for a minute.

id much rather children play that type of game than Ethnic Cleansing.

Re read my post Wyote because you obviously didn't read it the first time. What I was talking about is that as long as something isn't directly affecting you, you can let it slide. If you make a big deal about it then it is affecting you only because you let it. Making things disappear because you think it should isn't a practical option.

ehh I was harsh and I know I dont have to buy it, they can make whatever the hell they want. Still It slightlly distrubs me that they made it becouse Sony rarelly does this kinda thing. I guess they were just appealing to a new audiance of gamers.

i bible based game would be a bit strange, and personally i cant see what the content it could really contain. i cant see the idea of playing through the adventures of moses (or something like that) appealing to a great number of people.

just had a look at the thing aobut it on the sony website, looks just a lil strange. and also a bit of a waste of time. if its a trivia quiz, then no-one is going to get it. if they dont know it already, then they wont play it, cos they wont get it right. cant see it being a big seller.

pretty much all of the religiously based games are simply propaganda. that is why they arent played. they are talked about, word gets around about them ie- this forum. but hardly anything goes into their creation. therefore, they suck.

however if someone made a game of something like a more accurate version of the da vinci code. or a game in the style of indiana jones and the last crusade, in which it was neccessary to know information about the bible, that you learnt throughout the game, you would get people playing it, and learning without knowing it. for example, playing age of empires was useful for answering pub quiz questions such as "what is a ballista?" (prob a bad analogy but never mind.)

mayb if they did something that would get more than talked about, specially as it is usually talked about by people who think badly of the idea, rather than the audience it is aimed for. who on here has had a good word for it?
