a metaphore of the Heart of Darkness [+ favourites]

My heart, ratified with radiant gloom, as I walk out into the benign rays that radiate from the somber sun. Though, my complexion tainted with depression, I am unable to focus on reality. The calm breathe of the jocund wind plays games with my hair, as I walked mesmerized through the streets. Going somewhere… yet nowhere fast. My soul bleeds exuberant pretensions of something long gone. Sorrow and divine grace battle for my foundation, though, relinquished as I am, I dread through life.

Oh how the celestial beauty of the natural wonders of the world emits a providence of unambiguous life. My heart of darkness, full of malice, smites and corrupts with every giving moment that passes like the brilliance of a translucent river flowing. Is this the price of knowledge? A child’s majestic curiosity to an omniscient adult, the results of a creeping decay? If truth to these words, I wish I could have remained ignorant instead of venturing into the bottomless pit of Pandora’s box... Ignorance is bliss.

i wrote this after a lil too much to drink, follwing the completion of Heart of Darkness.
