| A poem, titled 'Powerless' [+ favourites]
Fragile light consumes my mind My body’s left me far behind A pallid ghost I walk the world In silent contemplation hurled From my feet I fall to earth Startled realization at rebirth Wasting into daylight fading Night serene and shadows wailing I can’t tell from the dusty sky What time of day it is or why It’s all the same these days One endless unforgiving blaze Of nothing in which I unwind One lost blur before my mind Drifting into lost tranquility Can’t move; I’ve lost ability And all my startled self-control Powerless: left to watch, as life unfolds I wrote it a couple of months ago.
"For each time mankind progresses, man himself regresses."
