Cinderella Man [+ favourites]

Anyone else catch this recent film? I saw it the other night man it was fantastic! Very inspiring to say the least- Man there were a few moments in the film in which I wanted to get up shout it was thrilling! Great acting from mr crow and co- especially Paul Giamatti of 'Americain Splendor' fame (another great film you need to see)
The film is a little predictable and perhaps slightly to sentimental but it was great I loved it and feel I must whole heartedly recomend it.
If you have not seen any previews its all about a boxer named Jim Braddick in the depression and how he regains his carrer and prosperity (for lack of a better word). Based on a true story the film really moves the viewer - there is no way you can't help but to cheer him on.

initially i didnt even want to see this movie. my attitude was more or less "oh great, Rocky during the great depression." well i am glad i ended up seeing this movie anyway. Paul Giamatti is a great character in this movie. the fights were well choreographed and i loved the cinematography during them particularly. they did a spectacular job recreating the time period. you know people act well when you forget who they really are and i completely forgot i was watching Russel and Rene for a good while.

7.5/10
