After reading the "Hands up if you're an Atheist" thead I thought it would be interesting to start a "Hands up if you're a Christian" thread. Am I the only one?

Although denial is still rampant in this forum, human nature, many here need something a little more substantial and a lot less contradictory and self righteous than Christianity has to offer.

But to all the actual, would be, and self proclaimed Christians I say this, take all the "moral" values that actually help and do not hurt any people and run with those, the rest, try thinking for yourself, it is these that have been the seeds of corruption within an organization based on good intentions. Your god has challenged you not to let people corrupt the GOOD message of the Lord, do not fail him. Do not judge in fear, do not judge at all, follow your own message, and dammit show some love to all.

What's the point of proclaiming if you are or not?
Like, what does it achieve?
I thought religion was meant to be a personal relationship between yourself and God.

To answer you leftwood, Jesus says explicitly not to judge. A Christian who follows what the Bible says won't judge nonbelievers. Proverbs tells us to think, many, many times. I understand the hatred some people feel toward Christianity and Christians, because there is alot of hypocracy, but there is much hypocracy in all religions.

Astarte, the reason I ask is because, though the relation between God and myself is private, the Bible also asks that Christians come together in community, which would require one to let people know if they actually are a Christian. Also, I was curious as to how outnumbered I really am. lol, now i know.

Religion is man seeking after God by their own works..
but,
Christianity is God seeking after man.
He came in a form of man, Jesus Christ, and died on the cross for us, sinners.
He long to have a personal relationship with you.

Then either you god is powerless, or likes to play games. One makes him not a god, the other makes him not an entity of power or authority that I can respect.
