I love people who think they're mightier because of their physical age.
It's wonderful, makes the world a little more interesting.

There is a 16 year old who attends university with me, participates in philosophy meetings, and is quite brilliant. I don't think age has anything to do with it. Rather, maturity and hard work are the driving forces behind one's intellect.

I believe that 16 year old is mightier than I.

so you and he- even myself...

do we all progress/grow/rise

to different levels- of consciousness/understanding

if we do rise (or descend) to different levels- like a stair case...

are the same steps being taken by each in their own time?

are the steps determined- just like in that stair case...

are they able to be skipped over here and there...

if you lose your balance- is a violent and rapid descent expected unless you catch yourself.

lol, i think i have rambled enough (sorry, been awhile since i was lit^) what are your thoughts?

Romach - You don't have to defend your philosophies or attempt to shoot others down by quoting historic philosphers. Because in the end, they were all just a bunch of guys sitting around thinking and convicted of certain, unalienable truths that are relative to begin with!

Now, I don't say don't mention them at all, but for some reason you irk me because you have to flaunt what you learned in your philosophy courses when really, no one gives a damn and there's no point in quoting them (especially these small ones) knowing probably no one has any real idea who the hell they are.

If something relates, incorporate it into the conversation.

For some reason, you just really piss me off. And I get quite nasty with people I sense are pissing me off. Like, I have this intense need to just sniper you off your ivory tower and make you fall and hit the concrete of social conduct and this idea that you are not the most brightest crayon in the box. I'm sure Crayola discontinued your color, anyway.

I'd rather be honest than act sweet about it.

Oh, Astarte, just because you weren't the Barbie to your Ken doesn't mean you have to transfer your hate onto me. Why don't you give your ex a call when his wife's not home and let him know how you really feel? Maybe that'll calm you down and make your nagging fly-like buzz go away.

With "tangent to your curves" do you mean stalking?

Correction: Barbie dumped Ken. She's not dating him anymore because Mattel switched her to be with some Hawaiian dude.

You deserve to have my hate transferred to you, people like you are the ones in the waiting lines that start fights with customer service and make everyone else pissed off. So if I put you in check, maybe you'll learn to be nicer instead of more of an asshole.

Get off your ivory tower and realize people don't like those who have to go around flaunting everything they learn in their courses - because frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn if you know Kierkegaard from Nietzsche. You're still an asshole.
