A 12-hour cease fire in Fallujah, Iraq had been agreed upon by the Americans and Fallujah rebels.

I think this is a very important development in the whole Iraq situation. It partly disproves the Bush Administration's insistence that the Iraq fighting is sporadic and being carried out by a minority. The cease fire shows that we are taking these people seriously, and that the rebels are there in some strength.

Despite what Bush and his cronies say, we are still very much at war.

It seems every sunni in Iraq wants America out. Frankly this is getting messy.
I'm starting to think Bush is just gonna get the soldiers to high-tail it out of Iraq. Then what'll happen? A temporary democratic gov, where the shiites will have the power. Then the sunnis and kurds will be unhappy and rebel, civil war? Then the sunnis and kurds will be dead meat against the shiite majority.

The whole situation is fucked, unless Bush decides to make 3 Iraqi independant states (which much of the muslim world does not want) then Iraq is going to hell.

Even a lot of Shiites want America to leave now, too. Whether it's a majority or minority of Shiites it's hard to tell since Bush just keeps lying.

When the USA leaves Iraq may end up having a civil war but then too did the USA. Right or wrong the people may throw off any form of government which the USA imposes upon them. If for no other reason than it wasn't what they chose but what we were willing to force upon them.
