Just a question I am posing here:

How is that marrying the same person a second or third time is going to be any different than the first time?

That just confuses me. And I hate the " They have changed thing" and what makes them your significant other, the soon to be married or the fiance. Hell they are just your ex, period.

My Aunt is having a hard time with this situation. My Uncle left her and is marrying his first wife again.

"Enjoy your family as they are our lives."

The only reason I see to "re-marry" someone is to marry the person you are currently married to so that you can renew your vows and go on another honeymoon. I love honeymoons, lol only had one but it was friggrin great.

Going back to a failed marriage is not very smart in my opinion. The most likely reason is that the feel comfortable with that person. Even of that person has to changed, it is all about comfort.

I'm usually all for it, if it is for renewing your vows. If you cheat, leave then come back and re-marry, that is more of a thing between the couple itself, more of a private promise between the two, which im kinda iffy on the whole "wedding," thing in that situation.

People do change. So much so that I believe that is one of the main reasons for divorce. "He is not the man I married 10 years ago," stuff. I am FAR not the same person I was when I married at 21. I treat my relationship/relationships totally differently now too.

I say celebrate!!! You've been married 10, 20, 30 years girl?????!!!!! To the SAME man?????? Lets celebrate!! You DESERVE another wedding. You DESERVE another special day for putting up with that ol' you know what.

When I marry my Lover....(which I totally am) We will renew our vows all the time. (ummmmm i'll say every 5 years) As just a little reminder maybe. Maybe to just have a party..... but for SURELY to go on another honeymoon.

Lots of hugs and love going out to your Aunt. She diddn't need his sorry ass anyway.
