hey, i got this from KJ-52 (wonderful Christian rapper) its more like a poem, but i wanted people to see this and not a lot of people like poems so i decied to put in religion. here we go:

Do you remember the time,
when the purpose of the Rhyme,
was to see the souls affected?
but now is it the man,
to every purpose and every plan,
to whom the praise is directed.
we lie out our dreams,
to make the crowd scream,
but entirty yells at the soundman
since where and when
we stop checking the Word,
and began start checking the sound scan?
'Member when souls where for souls,
and rhymes were for flows?
now we spend one minute to pray,
even THAT for each day,
but spend two hours checking our clothes
What happen
to the Passion
we was havin'
that was SPARKED for us in the Beginin'?
But were quick to CRY,
point the speck in YOUR eye,
but even quicker to justify our sinin'
We're quick to DISS,
raise the Fist,
and justify the things we do.
but for every finger you point at them,
remeber friend,
there's four more pointing back at YOU!
How and When,
did it all begin,
as ministry turn to indrusty?
Cuz did Jesus need a manager?
Reculator distruibutor?
Or even a Booking Agency?
When troubles Came,
did He call on the Name?
Or turn to his lawyer to handle it?
Why do we Ask God last?
Ignore the past
but be the first
to ask our managment?
Cuz next to HIm,
Our gloryies dim,
and comparison TURELY pales.
Why is every move,
in which we choose,
seem to revolve around our record sales?
We can get our Groove on,
Worry about coming on TO strong,
yet we water it down
so much there ain't nuttin' left to chew on!
Souls become sales,
sales become a salary,
gie the crowd something to feel,
WHINEING about keepin' it REAL,
But why don't we try to keep it to realatiy?!
Yet when it's all over,
and the mic is hung,
and it's all said and done,
it never mattered on how many BATTLES i won,
but only the SOULS I won.
On the other side,
will my silly pride
Cause me to hold my head up proud?
if i won't have beef with you THEN,
then tell me friend,
why should i have beef with you NOW?
At the end of my life,
when i held that mic,
did i really truly desevre it?
Forget if i was FAT,
Forget if i was WHACKED,
i wanna hear
"Well done good and faithful servent!"

My step daughter turned me onto a christian rock radio station, everyone listens to it, its become the rave. I listen to it on the way to work and in fighting the traffic it helps me relax.
