Has anyone ever skipped out on a rental lease? What happened?

Hey Brann, long time no chat, what's going on?

I have once and the property management company tried to get me to pay the remainder of the lease out, which I didn't do. It reflected negatively on my rental/lease hitory, but I had to do it.

*You are talking about home/house/property right?

Yeah, I was I just explained to the place I went that I broke the lease to move in at their place, and they said it was okay. I also had some other rental refrences though, I don't know what situation you'll be in as far as the refrences go, but they normaly take that stuff into consideration.

Hey Brann

why dont you try to find someone that will take over the lease? Or find a tenant to take you place immediatley so that they will cancel the lease and no harm is done anywhere?

Read all the fine print on the contract you signed. I broke my lease one time and had to pay a month's rent and lost my deposit but that was it. But not all leases are the same.Tell them the situation and see what they say. There is always someone on the waiting list to move in as soon as there is a vacancy
