KEEP IT SIMPLE - POEMS [+ favourites]

Sometimes, to explain something, you have to create a word, but most of the time you don't. Sometimes those big words explain things better. but it's just bothersome to get that dictionary out all the time. I think good poetry isn't the poetry you can't understand, but the poetry you can. If I write a poem you can't understand, then I did a poor job of writing it. Tell it like it is, share it here. This is where you'll find the good stuff.

OH, WHAT A LUCKY MAN

There was a man who had twelve of the most beautiful women
in the city as his wives

While he sat beneath a tree
Hearing the birds sing
He wondered
What a lucky man I am
Yet, I want more
Looking upon the poor man across the way
His wife's crinkled skin and hair of gray
He said, how can it be
They play so happily?
He called the wise man and asked
What is wrong with me?
The wise man looked across the way and said
There is no greater thing in the world
then to make love to the woman you love
But you
only have the women you enjoy
