I've attended a couple of races in Charlotte, NC. The first one was a free ticket, second row going into turn one. It was interesting to get a feel for how fast they were going. Then when there was a wreck they put the kitty-litter oil dry stuff down and I soon got showered with the stuff as the cars came by. I was later told that I had "crappy" seats and I should get some higher in the grandstrand. So the next year I was convinced to get the better ticket. We could see the whole track. Unfortunately it was a 600 mile race and their weren't many wrecks. I ended up watching a kid skateboard in the infield for entertainment. I later fell asleep, no kidding. I haven't watched a NASCAR race since. That was back in '88 or so. Daddy Dale was still in the Wrangler car. For the money, you can't go wrong with dirt track races. There are many races and the "Bomber" catergory can quickly turn into a demolition derby.
