What sjmf said is somewhat correct, although not entirely.
Some people did not react well to the change, but most people did. In fact, traffic levels have increased dramatically since the change.
Prior to the site being the way it was, it was mainly a celebrity site with discussion forums and other means of communication.
Now the sites are segregated and more specialized. The upside to this is that every site has its own identity, but the downside is that I am no longer "forcing" users to go through the discussion boards to access the pictures.
In other words, a majority of the people that would discuss on the forums now simply go to Perfect People, and leave from there without joining the forums.
It is freedom of choice, but that also means that we have to re-build our community with people who are here for the intellectualism, not just the celebrities.
What I have found is that lots of people check out the forums each day, but not everyone posts. A lot of people are waiting for others to post so they can react to something.
If you do post something in one of the forums, be assured that you will get plenty of responses.
