I bought a 1967 Firebird. I went to drop the top and theres a hydraulic booster, IT DOESNT WORK!! how do i go about takin down the top. please help me

you must be able to disconnect it somehow and physically move it, I have found a much better forum now with a lot of info anf lots of helpfull guys.
