bmx: It is dissapointing that the media will now influence people to support the US in doing things like this. Even Canadian television has begun promoting the war.

The issue never was whether or not Saddam is a horrific person; he has been proclaimed as a bad ruler and perhaps that is true.

The problem was, and will always be the fact that the US went there to:

1. Eliminate weapons of mass destruction
2. Eliminate possible terrorist factions

... and that was why Bush was given the support he was given. He has achieved neither, because neither were problems to begin with.

It is just turning out to be very very ugly now. People will forget the innocents that died in Iraq because of incopetency because the media is showing some Iraqis that are happy that the US is there. People will forget that we went there on a basis of lies.

And a personal message to bmx and walts: I want you to know that my criticism of this war had very little to do with Iraq...but rather the poilitics back home. Bush was falsely elected and also went to war for false reasons, and that is why I am, and will always be opposed to this war no matter how many people think it is a good idea.

If you support falseness, even if the outcome of that falseness may seem somewhat good, you will have to support falseness in the future, even when you see no good whatsoever.

Decius,

I support Bush on this Iraq War. I feel it was the right thing to do and needed to be done. If Bush ever does any thing I dont approve of then I will be the first to speak up and no I wont have to support it like you said.

Well walts,

As per every message I've ever seen of yours on the war, you provide absolutely no logic behind your statements, so I again have to ignore it as "patriotic logic", which isn't logic at all.

You know what really sucks about wars in general?

Whatever the feelings of the people of a natioon, the leader will do what they see fit for the country. Even at the expense of their own people. Even if 100% of the american people did not want this war, MR.Bush was deterrmined to go forth with it.

That sucks, he shoulda had a nation wide vote to see if the people actually did support the war.(which the UN didnt as we all know.)

this war is turning into a bad game of RISK...

bush is just going to continue invading neighbouring countries until he finds his "smoking gun" and hidden generals. neither of which seem to exist.

Don’t believe everything you see on TV. Contrary to usual belief, the LONG RANGED television companies are controlled by industries that want the public to see controversy.

In other words, the bigger the TV companies = the more bull shit they shovel.

Most hometown news stations that aren’t that big, tell the truth about stuff.

So if you are getting your opinions from places like CNN, or MSNBC, then most of your logic and views on the subject will be flawed.

The best place to learn about the war is from several different AM radio stations.
Make sure you find both sides of the track, or the train WILL pass you by!!!
