Is this how our leaders fix nations most imp issues ? [+ favourites]

Hey I found an interesting video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7150u9sfCo Watch how Hillary and Obama bluff and manipulate on issues like war in Iraq, Universal health care. Aren't these very serious issues to take care? Lets see who wins the race and how they take care of these issues when in power.

Well, didn't see the video but in talking (listening) to others at a family dinner, I was struck by an odd implication held by some of those present?
There seems to be a general impression that once the electoral process is done then automatically everything will be better? As the major contribution to this conversation had voted or was pro-Iraq invasion policy, I wasn't for sure if the implication was based upon Mac (rep) winning the election & therefore (increased) continuation of their war or that a change in policy (party lines) would bring back prosperity?
